Jerry Jensch W7EE - SK

Jerry W7EE passed away at 7:00 AM Thursday February 21, 2013 from kidney failure. Jerry also suffered from diabetes and it eventually cost him both legs. As a result Jerry spent the last several years living at Martha and Mary's in Poulsbo. Jerry being as stubborn as he was did not give up on ham radio. For several years he used a remote internet connection to his station in Port Ludlow and eventually was able to move his station to his room at Martha and Mary's. A picture of Jerry and his ham shack is available on the News and Info page.

Even with Jerry's disability he would on a rare occasion hop the transit from Poulsbo to Port Hadlock where he would join us for lunch and he would always make an effort to participate in Club events.

Jerry, a WWII Pearl Harbor survivor on the battleship California, was 93 years old at his passing. (View video of Jerry's recount of Pearl Harbor). Jerry is survived by a son and two daughters who live in California and companion Pat Hannan of Wisconsin (see below).
